Fleetmatics, a Verizon Company, is a leading global provider of mobile workforce solutions for service-based businesses of all sizes delivered as software-as-a-service (SaaS). The solutions enable businesses to meet the challenges associated with managing local fleets, and improve the productivity of their mobile workforces, by extracting actionable business intelligence from real-time and historical vehicle and driver behavioral data.

Fleetmatics Web-based solutions provide fleet operators with visibility into vehicle location, fuel usage, speed and mileage, and other insights into their mobile workforce, enabling them to reduce operating and capital costs, as well as increase revenue.

The Fleetmatics reveal app helps businesses to manage their fleet by GPS tracking, performance reporting, asset management and routing management.

Fleetmatics Routist feature

I worked on the Routist feature from scratch, I collaborated with product managers and developers to build the front-end user-interface. It provides a simple way for users to create and optimize the best routes for their drivers to complete their jobs. The user interface consists of two main components, a map area which shows a numbers of routes and jobs,, a timeline of each driver with different settings and tabs for other summary reports. My role was to design and develop a intuitive user interface and interactions. I also worked on Icon design, animations and interactions for charts and maps.

All User interface and animation was coded and designed in CSS and Javascript. I provied HTML/CSS/Javasctipt for implementations.

Other features

There are other features in the app which I worked on.

Dashboard - a selctions of cards which gives users insights of how their fleet performs.

Dispatch is a feature which allows users to dispatch job orders. I developed and implemented the user interface in this section.

Mobile

I worked on Reveal Iphone and Ipad apps. I translate the user interface design from the web app to mobile platforms and simplified the user flow to suit ‘on-the-go’ users such as business managers and owners. I optimized the user flow by journey mapping then tested with simple prototypes to validate the flows.
